Join us on Wednesday 30th January, 6-8pm, to celebrate our expansion and the last exhibition in the Kings Cross gallery.
Sid Motion Gallery is entering an exciting new chapter. After a successful two and a half years in Kings Cross, we are moving to a new, larger space with a fresh and ambitious programme, including a number of off-site projects and art fairs as well as a continuation of its strong exhibitions and events. The gallery is also delighted to announce a roster of represented artists for the first time.
Following the success of Sid Motion Gallery in Kings Cross, in March 2019 we will relaunch in a larger exhibition space in South Bermondsey. The new location is situated at the centre of a community of galleries and practising artists, allowing interesting collaborations and developments, while the gallery continues to extend its reputation for curating an exhibition programme that supports and promotes a range of fresh, vibrant artists working in different media.
It is an honour to announce the gallery’s first represented artists: Vincent Hawkins, Dafna Talmor and Morgan Wills.
The new space will open with a two-person exhibition by Sue Kennington and Fleur Simon, and the gallery will be taking part in Photo London in May 2019. More art fairs and external projects are planned for the end of the year. A public programme of talks and events will continue to run alongside each exhibition, allowing the artists to discuss their work and to introduce a forum for conversation, education and development.
